Belarus and Russia are strengthening their cooperation in almost all areas. The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that, responding to foreign policy challenges, the two countries will strengthen cooperation in the military sphere, news agency NEWSDATA.RU reports.
Peskov clarified that Belarus is now in a difficult situation due to the fact that neighboring countries are hostile to it. From the leadership of these states come not only aggressive messages, but also declarations of direct intentions to interfere in the internal processes of the country.
All this obliges us to further develop our allied relations, to strengthen these relations, which implies different areas, including the further development of our relations in the military sphere, Peskov clarified.
Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that non-strategic nuclear weapons had already started being transported to the republic and promised that they would be safe. Everything you need for storage is already there. Russia was tasked with these weapons and their use.
