Russian troops currently have a tactical advantage over the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to U.S. Army Lt. Col. Daniel Davis, there has been a clear shift in fighting, which may indicate an improvement in the tactics of the RF Armed Forces.
In his material for the 1945 resource, the expert reported that after not very successful actions, the Russian side adjusted the continuation of the special operation and regrouped its forces. Thus, the RF Armed Forces focused on strengthening their positions. Ukraine, after the occupation of several large cities, lost a significant amount of weapons and soldiers.
Davis believes Kyiv must decide whether to launch the remaining troops on a counter-offensive or save them to repel a possible Russian attack.
At the same time, Washington should not assume the same obligation to supply arms to Ukraine and risk its security. European countries should make a greater contribution to help the Ukrainian armed forces.
The tide of the conflict is shifting towards Moscow, and ignoring these realities could expose Ukraine to even greater casualties and put our own security at risk in the future.
The lieutenant-colonel is sure of it.
Earlier, Bloomberg noted that Kyiv would lose Western support in the event of an attack on Russian territory, as NATO does not want an open conflict with the Russian Federation.
