What will happen to BTS after all members leave for the military?

Members of the South Korean K-pop group BTS are now enlisting one by one in the army. In South Korea, every man between the ages of 18 and 28 must serve a two-year sentence. Now is the time for idols to go through this stage of life. In this regard, the question arises: what will be the consequences for the music industry after BTS leaves for the army? Will this hiatus be a catalyst for change on the global pop scene, or will the influence of K-pop’s most popular group remain the same? So far, this is only known from time. But there are a few obvious points.

The first and most obvious consequence would be a temporary stoppage of the group’s activity. After all, each member has to serve two years, which means BTS won’t release new albums, hold concerts, or actively promote in the music market.

The second consequence is the changing dynamics of the music industry. It is possible that in the modern world many new groups will overshadow this one. This could lead the Korean music industry to become more competitive and diverse.

Changing the group’s worldview is the third consequence. After all, in two years in the army, idols can change a lot. The weather will have a great influence on the personality and outlook of the group members. It is possible that the musicians will come back and start writing other music. Sure, that can be a positive change, but there’s also the risk of losing some of the fans who fell in love with the band precisely for their unique style.
