Eddie Hearn has spoken of a possible rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk

Well-known promoter Eddie Hearn has denied rumors that British boxer Anthony Joshua turned down a rematch with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk for some compensation.

According to the specialist, Joshua is still focused on getting back to the top of the heavyweight division, and there is no talk of payouts for not fighting.

“Joshua has a clear plan – the return of his old league titles. The only way to do that is another rematch with Usyk,” Hearn said.

As the promoter explained, there are no clear agreements with the Ukrainian boxer’s team yet. But Joshua won’t quit the sport until he tries to reclaim his legacy.

However, this does not negate the participation of the British in other fights. For example, now in play is a possible fight with Tyson Fury at Wembley.
