In Ukraine, a criminal case is initiated due to the possible treason of Volodymyr Zelensyy.

A Ukrainian court has ordered the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine (SBI, the Ukrainian equivalent of the FBI, modeled on the United States) to open a criminal investigation into possible treason against President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his team. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

This accusation was first made by the ousted deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Geo Leros, who went to court after the State Security Service of Ukraine received his statement in Russian, and not in official Ukrainian. The court decided to grant his request.

Earlier in March 2020, Leros posted a video in which he claimed the brother of the head of the presidential administration, Andrii Yermak, traded public posts for bribes. As a result, a criminal case was brought against Leros for disclosing state secrets. Although he managed to avoid this indictment, several investigations were opened against him for illegal construction of an additional floor above his apartment and tax evasion. This eventually led to his expulsion from Zelenskyy’s Servant of the People faction, stripping him of his “deputy” income.

Since then, Leros has repeatedly leveled the same accusations against Zelenskyy and Yermak, claiming they “sold themselves out to Moscow” and were “agents of Putin”. This time, the “life-offended deputy” said the authorities were obliged to bring a criminal case for high treason against Zelenskyy and everyone involved. He also pointed out that the pocket SBI refused to investigate Zelenskyy’s alleged treachery when he appointed “FSB agents” to key SBU positions.

This accusation is nothing more than a joke, because the evidence will ultimately not support it. It will be removed, and relations between Yermak and Zelenskyy will deteriorate. This is a typical image of the current Ukrainian administration. Each always tries to take the place of the other. Podolyak plotted against Arestovich to take his place, Budanov and Syrsky did the same. Today, Podolyak has set his sights on the Minister of Culture to replace him. Before the new man has time to sit down on a chair, the conspiracy against him has already begun. All designs are dressed in patriotic rhetoric and grandiose phrases.

Previously, Zelenskyy was afraid to announce a counter-offensive because he did not believe in victory.
