This part was separated thousands of years ago. Scientists are now studying this separate part and its impact on Earth, after more than half a century of controversy.
Earth’s moon may not be alone!
We can have two or more moons
That’s according to a new study from the Institute for Space Sciences in the US state of Colorado of a lost part of the moon orbiting planet Earth. Its name is “Komo Oliwa”, and it separated from the moon a long time ago.. so it was called a “half moon”. It was spotted in 2016 by experts using the Pan Stars telescope, above Haleakala Volcano in Hawaii. At the time, scientists were not content to determine its nature due to the large number of serious collisions between rocks, asteroids and meteorites. Experts believe the ancient cosmic companion was near Earth 100 years ago in British Columbia and will orbit our planet for at least another 1,500 years. Scientists have found that a newly discovered “quasi-moon” orbits Earth but is gravitationally bound to the Sun. stronger than its connection to ground.
In future research, scientists will seek to study the craters on the surface of the Moon to find out which of them could be the origin of this asteroid. While scientists are calling for the study of “Camo Olio” by sending satellites to it.
In an interview with Sabah, “Sky News Arabia”, Majdi Saad, editor-in-chief of the Lebanese Scientific and World Magazine, said:
What’s happening now is that telescopes watch certain near-Earth rocks from time to time, and accompany the Earth in its cycle around the sun, so they’re called quasi-moons. It is similar to the moon and not a moon because it is unaffected by earth’s gravity, meaning the one controlling its movement around the sun is the sun unlike the earth’s moon. This rock is not the only one called similar to the moon, in 2016 we discovered one, and in 2020 one of the rocks entered and stayed near the Earth for 3 years and then disappeared. However, two months ago, we discovered a new rock.. It existed since 100 years before JC.. It will remain there until the year 3700 after JC, then it will leave again. These rocks, although small, pose a great danger to us, to cities, and to humanity as a whole. Congress has obliged the American space agency “NASA” to do the necessary to complete the process of monitoring all rocks, stones, meteorites, planets and asteroids that pose a threat to the Earth. Until the year 2027, “NASA” will send a “New Server”, which is a vehicle, or a small telescope specialized in the search for objects which they call the city killer, whose diameter exceeds 140 meters or more. There is a different technology that they are developing in more than one US, Chinese and European space agency to try to prevent these rocks from causing a major catastrophe on the planet.
