The Portuguese coach slammed the match referee in his statements after the game, saying: “It was a strong and dynamic game led by a referee who seemed to be Spanish. There were yellow cards all the time.”
Fans of both teams were also accused of setting off fireworks and throwing projectiles, while Roma fans were accused of harmful acts and other crowd trouble.
Moreover, Sevilla were charged with a pitch invasion as the crowd quickly rushed onto the pitch after Gonzalo Montiel took the decisive penalty.
