DA Hike: Dearness allowance is going to increase once again in July 2023 for central employees. There will be a huge increase in the salaries of central government employees once again.

It is expected that there may be an increase of 4 percent in DA hike. After this the dearness allowance will be 46 per cent. The recent AICPI index numbers have added new vigor to the DA score. The hopes of central employees have got new wings.

The coming season is of monsoon, in such a situation it is sure to rain money on the central employees. However, the AICPI figures for May and June are yet to come. It is expected that good growth can also be seen in this. The government will announce the hike in dearness allowance in July, September or October. With the 4 per cent increase in DA, the annual dearness allowance of the employees will go up to Rs 1,68,636. But,

How will the DA of July 2023 be decided?

If we look at the figures of the AICPI index for April 2023, there has been an increase of 4 percent in the dearness allowance. Dearness Allowance will reach 46% in the coming days. Even if there is no uptick in the index in May and June, the DA score could go above 45.60. In such a situation, 46 percent dearness allowance will be given. On the other hand, even if the CPI(IW) number increases from 134.2 to 134.8, there is every chance of getting 46 per cent DA. If everything goes well, the payment of DA to the central employees who will be increasing from July 2023 will start from the salary of October.

DA will be Rs 1,68,636

After increasing the dearness allowance by 4 percent, the total DA will be 46 percent. Now if we look at the salary of pay band 5400 at Rs 30,550, then the total annual DA will be Rs 1,68,636 according to 46 percent. Which will currently be Rs 1,53,972. Talking about the difference from the existing dearness allowance, there will be an increase of Rs 14,664 in the salary.

Understand the calculation of basic salary

1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 30,550 2. Existing DA (42%) Rs 12,831/month 3. Annual DA (42%) Rs 1,53,972 4. DA (46%) increased to 14,053/month 5. Annual DA hike 14,053 X12 = Rs 1,68,636
