Russian forces repel seventh attack by Ukrainian forces

The leader of the “We are with Russia” movement in Zaporizhia, Vladimir Rogov, said on his Telegram account that Russian forces repelled another attempted attack by Ukrainian forces in Zaporizhia province.

Rogov said: “Fighters of the Ukrainian army have launched a new night attack. Our soldiers receive them with Russian hospitality, known for its enthusiasm and intense fire.”

According to Rogov, Ukrainian forces paved the way for their attack with heavy shelling using heavy weapons, according to Sputnik, citing the official.

Rogov revealed how the Ukrainian forces carried out the attack, indicating that they first made technical preparations and then began transferring armored vehicles and forces to the front line to launch a new attack.

“Everything indicates that the main action today will take place in the Rabotino district of the Orekhov region of the Zaporizhia province,” Rogov stressed.

Later, Rogov told Sputnik that Ukrainian forces were preparing for further attack attempts in the area. Ukrainian forces have made six attempts in the recent period to break through the frontline in this area: four attacks failed in the Vymivsk region and two failed in the southern city of Orekhov.

Putin: Ukraine launched an offensive, but without success

And Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that Ukraine launched a major attack on the Russian military, but failed to achieve its objectives, despite fighting escalating for at least 3 days.

“We can say that the offensive has definitely started. Proof of this is the use of the strategic reserve of the Ukrainian army… Ukrainian forces did not achieve their objectives in any sector,” Putin said. addressing Russian journalists in Sochi.

Putin explained that the fighting has intensified considerably over the past three days, but “the enemy has not achieved any success” in any of the battles.

Shoigu confirms the start of the counterattack

On June 6, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the Ukrainian regime was launching its long-promised attack on different sectors of the front over the past three days, given the concern of the Kiev authorities not to disclose anything. attack information.
