ICC World Cup 2023 Schedule: clash with Pakistan on October 15, know the schedule of Team India!

The Indian team will open its campaign in the ODI World Cup against Australia on October 8 in Chennai, followed by a match against Pakistan a week later in Ahmedabad. This information was given in the draft program of BCCI.

ESPN Cricinfo wrote on Monday, ‘The BCCI has sent the draft of the program to the ICC, which has sent it to the participating countries for feedback. The final schedule will be announced next week. As per the initial draft, the tournament will begin on October 5 with defending champions England taking on eventual runners-up New Zealand in Ahmedabad. The final will also be played on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The semi-finals will be held on November 15 and 16, whose venue is yet to be decided. Hosts India will play their league matches in nine cities including Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. The match with Pakistan will be on October 15. Whereas Pakistan’s league matches will be held in five cities.

According to the report, ‘Pakistan will play two teams from the qualifiers round on October 6 and 12 in Hyderabad. This was followed by Australia in Bangalore (October 20), Afghanistan in Chennai (October 23), South Africa (October 27), Bangladesh in Kolkata (October 31), New Zealand in Bangalore (November 5) and England in Kolkata (November 12). ) will play.

Australia and New Zealand will play in Dharamshala on October 29 and England on November 4 in Ahmedabad. Ten teams are participating in the tournament, out of which eight are fixed and two will come from the qualifiers. The tournament is just a few months away and the schedule is yet to be announced, whereas in the last two World Cups the schedule was decided a year in advance.
