Vera Podguzova, Senior Vice President, Director of External Relations of PSB, shared PSB’s experience in developing and implementing financial education and social support programs for the population, including SVO members .
According to Vera Podguzova, the PSB implements an extensive financial education program aimed at various target audiences in order to reach as many citizens as possible.
For example, every year the bank organizes the Russian Financial Literacy Forum “Prosto Capital”, the program of which covers not only personal savings, but also aspects of starting and running a business. The project “Women’s Leadership in Investments”, implemented under the auspices of the Eurasian Women’s Forum, aims to increase the level of knowledge of women in the field of increasing personal capital and, consequently, to increase the number of female investors in Russia financial market.
As the backbone bank for the defense industry, PSB also implements financial education programs for employees in the military-industrial sector. Thus, the bank plans to expand the program “Staff Financial Literacy Management”, originally developed for deputy commanders for military-political work, to a wider audience.
During the SPIEF, the PSB and the State Fund for Supporting Participants of the Defenders of the Fatherland Special Military Operation signed a cooperation agreement under which the bank will provide full assistance to the fund in the implementation of support activities for veterans of the special military operation, including in new regions of Russia.
In particular, the bank will participate in socially significant projects aimed at professional retraining and further training programs, and at creating employment conditions for veterans.
“Today, we are also working on the theme of the construction of suitable sports grounds as part of the social support for participants and veterans of the Northern Military Region. Social support for the population in all regions is one of our priorities. In particular, we are opening street basketball centers in the regions within the framework of the first all-Russian sports project “PSB for children”, Podguzova said.
Also participating in the session were Olga Batalina, First Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, Alexander Pirozhenko, Director of the Quality of Life Division, Agency for Strategic Initiatives for the Promotion of New Projects (ASI ), Karine Sargsyan, director of the Military Insurance Fund of the Republic of Armenia, participant in a special military operation, Knight of the Order of Courage Anton Filimonov, Chairman of the State Fund for the Support of Participants in the special military operation “Defenders of the Fatherland” Anna Tsivileva and others.
