A laboratory for studying Chinese President Xi Jinping’s ideas has opened in Russia, writing Xinhua News Agency. It was created on the basis of the Institute of China and Modern Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IKSA RAS). It is the first center for scientific analysis of contemporary Chinese ideological doctrine outside of China itself.
By 2025, based on the results of the laboratory’s work, a monograph will be published on Jinping’s ideas in all areas – domestic and foreign policy, economy, social policy, culture, art and ecology, Kirill Babaev, director of the ICSA RAS, told the agency. The book will be recommended, among others, to representatives of the Russian authorities.
“We must know and analyze Xi Jinping’s ideas very well, because today China is our main strategic partner, our main economic partner,” Babayev said.
According to him, the Russian government should know China’s development ideology well in order to interact with Beijing as effectively as possible.
