The World Congress of Traditional Chinese Medicine is the largest and highest-level academic conference in the world, under the auspices of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. It was successfully organized in China, France, Canada, Singapore, Macau of China, Australia, Netherlands, UK, Malaysia, USA, Russia and Spain.
The Summer Summit of the World Congress of Traditional Chinese Medicine is an important platform for enhancing international cooperation and exchanges. It aims to promote traditional Chinese medicine to the world in the new era. The seventh summer summit will be held in China’s Quzhou province from June 24 to 26.
In recent years, China develops traditional Chinese medicine around the world with an open and inclusive attitude. According to statistics, traditional Chinese medicine has spread to 196 countries and regions in the world. Traditional Chinese Medicine has been included in 16 free trade agreements. The total import-export of products related to traditional Chinese medicine is more than 28 billion US dollars.
Chinese scientist Thu Yayo invented Artemisininca, which saved millions of lives around the world. It is a gift given to the world by traditional Chinese medicine and also a great contribution of traditional Chinese medicine to maintain the health of mankind.
At the same time, UNESCO included Chinese acupuncture in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Now 113 member countries of the World Health Organization have recognized the diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, such as acupuncture. In this, 29 member countries have made rules for the standard use of traditional Chinese medicine and 20 member countries have included traditional Chinese medicine in their national medical guarantee system.
Traditional Chinese Medicine is gaining more and more international recognition and international cooperation is getting closer. There are more than 80,000 Chinese Medicine Institutes around the world and the number of affiliated practitioners is about 300,000. The development of traditional Chinese medicine in the world is increasing rapidly.
