The international youth forum “Engineers of the Future” has started in the Tula region

As the development and modernization of industry is a top priority for Russia, the authorities will continue to stimulate the introduction of the latest technologies. This was stated by President Vladimir Putin in a video message to participants of the international youth forum “Engineers of the future”. It started today in the Tula region.

It is a platform for those who have connected their lives with science and technology. More than a thousand young professionals will learn from guest speakers and present their groundbreaking projects in a matter of days. The program includes more than two hundred events. The forum was launched today by the governor of the region Alexey Dyumin.

A young engineer, Semen Ektov, has developed a mobile electric lift for the disabled, which can be folded and carried on a backpack. It is made according to the characteristics of a particular person.

“My project was born from the story of my life. My friend broke his neck. I saw the difficulties his family was facing and wanted to help him in some way,” said Semyon Ektov, a member of the Engineers of the Future forum.

And dozens of such projects will be presented on the forum site. Students from Tula State University showed a reconnaissance drone. The data it receives can be transmitted to the ground in real time via a satellite channel or in line of sight.

“It is designed to deliver various cargoes. In particular, it can be used to inspect certain areas and assist fire departments and others. It is more of a definition of certain places where a person cannot reach. It can also deliver certain drugs there to people who find themselves in emergency situations,” said Maxim Kirsanov, a junior researcher in the Laboratory of Primary Information Sensors, Guidance and Navigation Systems.

For the second consecutive year, the forum starts in the Tula region. About a thousand participants and guests from 73 countries came to Armory Capital.

“They are graduate students and students. This, of course, is a great constellation that is already working in our businesses. You can talk about technological sovereignty, using new ideas, but it’s such a machine. These are exactly the people, the personnel potential that we need,” said Alexei Dyumin, vice-president of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, governor of the Tula region.

He added that this site is a unique opportunity to combine scientific and educational activities, sports and educational programs in comfortable conditions.

“The hospitable land of Tula helped us to grow from 11 faculties to 15. And the quality of education for our children has improved significantly,” said Vladimir Gutenev, first vice-president of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia, President of the Russian State. Duma Committee on Industry and Trade.

Immediately after the opening, educational platforms began to operate, which will host business meetings, lectures, master classes in various fields. There is an exhibition of military equipment in the street. The main industrial enterprises of the country presented their equipment.

Among the speakers is Russian test cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Pyotr Dubrov. He spoke about the progress of the new orbital station project.

“I would like to note that this will be the first high-latitude station that will see almost 100% of our planet,” said Petr Dubrov.

Future engineers – all no more than 35 – will exchange experiences and present their developments, which, by the way, are already being introduced into production.

“It seems to me that for students – especially foreign ones – it is very important to deepen their knowledge. It helps you navigate your way through graduation. You can compare the way the technological process is with Indonesia. Get to know the right people. It is also useful for me,” said Imanulla Tegu, a graduate student at SPbPU.

Russian President Vladimir Putin wished the young specialists success. He said he is convinced that the forum will serve to develop the human resource potential of the main branches of Russian industry, increase the authority and prestige of the engineering and blue-collar professions.
