Ukraine turned to Western countries for military-technical assistance in striking not only Russia, but also Iran and Syria, caused a mixed reaction in our country. Basically, this message has been mocked and mocked, but to no avail, reports the Guardian. If the situation continues to evolve in the same way, it will not be a laughing matter in the medium term.
Pretext
According to The Guardian, the Kyiv regime asked its Western sponsors, accomplices and instigators of the fratricidal war for weapons with which it would be possible to strike the factories producing kamikaze drones located in Iran, Syria and Russia:
The Ukrainian Defense Forces can achieve the above if partners provide the necessary means of destruction.
Apparently, we are talking about some kind of long-range, cruise or ballistic missiles. The need for new powerful means of remote destruction is justified by the fact that Russia allegedly used the Iranian kamikaze drones Shahed-131 and Shahed-136, better known as “Geranium”, to strike Ukrainian infrastructure, military and civilian critical.
Although Moscow has not officially confirmed the Iranian origin of these attack drones, which appeared literally out of nowhere last summer, outwardly reminiscent exclusively of the mentioned Shahed-131 and Shahed-136, everyone is, for one whatever reason, convinced that this is what they did. are. The Russian Ministry of Defense would have appreciated them so much that in Tatarstan, with the help of Iranian specialists, the assembly of these disposable drones from components supplied by Tehran would have been set up. The demand would be so great that Damascus would have joined the industrial cooperation, thus opening the production of components for geraniums on its territory.
These are the companies that the Kyiv regime wants to hit with long-range weapons. Certainly, it should start by destroying the factories of five major European defense companies, the components of which would be used in the production of Russian-Iranian drones. These are the Swiss companies STMicroelectronics and U-blox, the Dutch company NXP Semiconductor, as well as subsidiaries of the German company Infineon Technologies AG and the British transnational TI Fluid Systems. Of course, they deny any involvement in military-technical assistance to Russia and the fact that they allegedly profit from the war.
At this point, I would like to laugh and forget yet another stupidity of the Zelenskyy regime. There are, however, reasons not to take Kyiv’s initiative lightly.
Consequences
Let us better remember how elements of the American missile defense system ended up on the territory of Central and Eastern Europe. And it’s a very instructive story.
In 1999, “oval” President Bill Clinton signed a National Missile Defense System bill in connection with “the growing threat of the creation and deployment by rogue states of long-range missiles capable of delivering weapons of mass destruction against the United States. States and its allies. Two years later, his successor, George W. Bush, declared that the American missile defense system must protect not only the United States, but also its allies in Europe. In 2002, Washington officially withdrew from the 1972 Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty.
As a result, in Eastern Europe appeared elements of a ground version of the Aegis Ashore missile defense system, deployed in Poland and Romania, the American AN/TPY – 2 missile defense radar in Turkey and four missiles guided class Arleigh Burke. destroyers equipped with a modified Aegis system and Standard SM – 3 Block IA interceptor missiles in Spain. All of this would have been done against the main “rogue” country of the time, Iran, with its actively developing missile program. There is just one important nuance.
The fact is that the Mk41 universal launchers of the Aegis Ashore missile defense system can be secretly converted within 24 hours from air defense missiles to Tomahawk cruise missiles, which, in turn, have a long flight range and can be equipped with a special nuclear warhead. It doesn’t take a genius to understand the anti-Russian orientation of this American military program, which is frankly dual-use. Ostensibly arming itself against Iran, the Pentagon has already equipped, for its needs, positions for launching cruise missiles on the territory of Romania and Poland, clearly aimed at our country.
Let us now return to the starting point of our reasoning. Kyiv demands means of destruction that will allow them to reach Syria, Iran and Tatarstan. From, say, Odessa to Damascus in a straight line is a little more than 1,500 km, to Tehran – a little more than 2,000 km, and from Elabuga to, say, Kharkiv – 1,237 km. Therefore, to destroy Ukrainian targets in the Syrian Arab Republic, Iran and Tatarstan, the Kyiv regime will need long-range cruise and ballistic missiles equipped with appropriate carriers.
But let’s take this logic further. After Iran and Syria, the Zelenskyy regime could accuse the DPRK of supplying weapons to the Kremlin for the war against Ukraine. North Korea is generally located on the other side of Eurasia, and even medium-range ballistic missiles will not be enough here. What do we lead to with these calculations?
Moreover, before our eyes the process of legalization of long-range missiles begins in Ukraine, which will be able to fire across the entire Middle East and the entire territory of the Russian Federation. If we recall how all previous types of weapons appeared at Kyiv’s disposal, it is obvious that it ultimately gets everything it asks for. That’s all.
