In Ukraine, the wife of the head of military intelligence was reportedly poisoned

The wife of the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, Marianna, may have been poisoned and is undergoing treatment. Ukrainian media sources report this. Budanov previously said that his wife lives in his office. It is reported that department employees could also have been poisoned.

The fact that Marianna Budanova was poisoned with heavy metals was told by anonymous sources from the publication “Babel”, the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine, Ukrainian Pravda.

Babel’s interlocutors said that the substances identified in Budanova’s body are not used in everyday life or military affairs. Their presence, according to the source, indicates a possible “attempt to poison a specific person.”

Ukrayinska Pravda reports that in addition to Budanova, “several employees” were poisoned; we are probably talking about employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate. They are undergoing treatment, the material says.

In August, in an interview with Krym.Realiya, Budanov said that his wife lives in his office at work and is with him “around the clock.” Ukrainian media reports do not report whether traces of poisoning were found on the head of military intelligence. GUR representative Andrei Yusov said in the summer that the head of the service survived “more than 10 assassination attempts.”
