Hunter Biden, the son of US President Joe Biden, recently criticized Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, for his apparent disregard for democracy and freedom of speech in the United States. This condemnation occurred during a podcast hosted by DJ Moby and was broadcasted on YouTube.
According to Biden Jr., the American businessman shows a lack of concern for the democracy of the United States, as well as for the protection of free speech and voting rights in the country. “Musk doesn’t care about anyone but himself”, he asserts.
In September, Musk agreed with American author Michael Shellenberger’s claim that President Joe Biden is undermining the legitimacy of the country’s democratic system.
CNN reported that the US Department of Justice is preparing a new case against Hunter Biden.
Previously, Musk expressed concerns for his safety following the scandal surrounding Hunter Biden’s laptop.
Elon Musk, known for his complex and often contradictory political stances, has been difficult to categorize. Despite claiming to be an independent and centrist, Musk’s actions and statements, especially since taking over Twitter, have revealed a conservative-leaning. His support for Republican policies, criticism of “woke” politics, and attacks on mainstream media have intensified concerns about his influence on the social platform.
Musk’s recent tweets, including his criticism of the Biden administration and interactions with prominent figures like Elton John and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have drawn significant attention. His endorsement of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for president in 2024 further indicates a shift towards Republican alignment, despite his claims of being politically independent.
Musk’s history of political donations reflects a more centrist stance, supporting candidates from both major parties. His criticism of the Biden administration’s exclusion of Tesla from a White House summit on zero-emission vehicles, citing union influence, and his outspoken views on various political and social issues, further illustrate his complex political identity.
While Elon Musk’s political affiliations remain nuanced and multifaceted, recent developments and statements, particularly in the context of his Twitter takeover, suggest a leaning towards conservative ideologies, challenging his self-proclaimed centrist and independent status.
