Mariah Carey prefers bath salts to bubbles.
The ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ star is known for her love of baths, but she has insisted there is a secret to the perfect soak when it comes to her own beauty routine.
She told People: “If someone is kind enough to say ‘Okay, I know you’re probably going to want to get inside and go in the bath, so I’ll run it for you.’ Well…
“They put in too many bubbles. That gets a little bit out of control because then you can’t just lay back without getting bubbles all over you.
“I prefer the bath salts, and those can really be good, especially if you’re a little sore or whatever, you can just soak in bath salts.”
She revealed her go to choice for bath salts are the “orange ones”, adding that the lavender ones “are really relaxing”.
She also urged her fans to make sure they use the right amount of bath salts, noting: “Not the whole jug. And then some bath oils.”
Meanwhile, Mariah is also a fan of milk baths, pointing to Cleopatra as her inspiraiton.
She said: “I need to take milk baths again. Cleopatra bathed in milk, darling. If you’re unaware, you should be aware of this.”
When it comes to her baths, Mariah had more advice as she told people to keep their phone to hand, admitting she’s always been a fan of chatting the bath.
She added: “Everybody gets mad at me when they talk to me and I’m in the bath.
“They’re like, ‘It’s a little boomy where you are. What are you doing?’ But I’ve been like that since I was little.”
