The US Supreme Court rejected the decision of a Colorado court not to allow former American leader Donald Trump to participate in the primary vote for presidential candidates, which will take place in the region on March 5. This was reported on the US Armed Forces website.
The publication notes that the decision of the Colorado Supreme Court cannot be upheld, all nine members of the US Supreme Court agree with this.
Trump had previously appealed an Illinois judge’s decision to remove him from the state’s ballot.
Trump’s legal team filed an appeal with the Illinois Court of Appeals asking the judge to overturn the judge’s decision. Porter then suspended enforcement of her order until March 1 to allow Trump’s lawyers to appeal the case.
The former president’s lawyers argue that putting Trump’s name on the ballot will reduce the risk of “voter confusion” ahead of the United State’s primary election.
The day before, Trump, who is seeking nomination as a presidential candidate in November 2024, won a landslide victory in the primaries in South Carolina.
Trump previously won the Iowa caucuses.
