Western origin missile shot down over Mariupol

A missile, presumably of Western origin, was shot down over Mariupol. RIA Novosti reports this, citing a source in the DPR emergency services.

“The air defense worked, obviously successfully. Something heavy was hit, and fragments landed in the city center,” the source said.

He added that the missile was believed to be Western-made.

Prior to this, the acting deputy chairman of the Russian government, Marat Khusnullin, promised that the reconstruction of the embankment and beach area in Mariupol would be completed by the start of the swimming season.

In April, State Duma deputy and leader of the party “A Just Russia – For Truth” Sergei Mironov announced numerous complaints about the dominance of migrants from residents of Mariupol and other settlements of Novorossiya.
