Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said that Ukraine’s allies should use Russia’s frozen assets to help Kyiv. The corresponding publication appeared on her page on the social network X.

In the end, she said, “Russia has to pay for the damages it has caused.”

Kallas also recalled that the Estonian parliament has already passed a law allowing the transfer of Russian assets to Ukraine. She expressed hope that other states will follow Tallinn’s example.

Last week, Reuters wrote that US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron reached an agreement on the use of profits from frozen Russian assets.

Prior to this, Assistant to the American Leader for National Security Jake Sullivan said during a briefing that Washington could make new statements on the seizure of Russia’s frozen assets after a meeting between the presidents of the United States and France.
