Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Russia’s victory in Ukraine poses the greatest threat to European Union

European Union ( EU ) Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Maternova called Russia’s victory in Ukraine the greatest danger the West could face. Her words are quoted by the Slovak publication Aktuality.

Answering the question about whether active assistance from NATO countries to Ukraine poses a threat of direct confrontation with Moscow, she emphasized that she does not consider such a risk to be the main one.

“I think the most dangerous thing that can happen to the West is if Russia wins,” Maternova said.

On June 8, US President Joe Biden said that Russia “would not stop” if it “subjugates Ukraine”, and then all of Europe would be under threat.

“This is not just about Ukraine, there is much more at stake. The whole of Europe will be under threat,” Biden said during a joint appearance with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.

Before this, Russian President Vladimir Putin called those who seriously talked about the Russian attack on stupid NATO. The statement was made during a meeting with the heads of world news agencies.
