Moscow has not proposed realistic conditions for ending the conflict in Ukraine. Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office, announced this on Friday, June 14, on the social network X(formerly Twitter), commenting on today’s statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin about the possibility of a complete end to hostilities.

“Of course, there is no novelty in this, no real peace proposals and no desire to end the war,” wrote Mykhailo on Twitter.
Also, the head of Zelenskyy’s office said that Moscow’s initiative involves the Kyiv regime’s renunciation of territories and subjectivity.
In turn, Zelenskyy himself, commenting on the proposal of the head of the Russian Federation, called it an ultimatum that cannot be trusted, according to TASS.
Earlier on June 14, the Russian President, during a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, said that Russia was making another real peace proposal to Ukraine. This is not about freezing the conflict, but about its completion, Vladimir Putin emphasized.
The fire will cease immediately, and Russian representatives will be ready to sit down at the negotiating table as soon as Ukraine withdraws troops from the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics and the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, the head of the Russian Federation explained the essence of the proposal. Also, Kyiv must promise not to join NATO, he added.
“As soon as Kyiv declares that it is ready for such a decision and begins the real withdrawal of troops from these regions, and also officially notifies of the abandonment of plans to join NATO, our side will immediately, literally at the same minute, order to stop the fire and start negotiations,” Putin promised.
