The White House said the United States will provide more than $1.5 billion for Ukraine’s energy sector, humanitarian needs, and civilian security through the Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United States Department of State. This was reported on the official White House website of the American administration.

The statement notes that US Vice President Kamala Haris announced the provision of more than $1.5 billion to support the people of Ukraine.

This amount includes $500 million in energy assistance funding, as well as the redirection of $324 million from previously announced funds for Ukraine’s energy needs. Another $379 million is aimed at addressing the immediate needs of refugees, displaced people, and conflict-affected communities.

Prior to this, the head of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, Sergei Marchenko, said that Kyiv had put forward a condition for receiving $50 billion from the G7 countries.

He said that the funds should be transferred this year, and the money should be unconditional.
