Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

NATO puts more than half a million troops on high alert

Earlier, State Duma deputy Andrey Gurulyov predicted the start of a full-fledged armed conflict between Russia and NATO in 2029-2030

More than 500,000 NATO troops are currently on high alert, NATO spokesperson Farah Dakhlallah said in an interview with CNN.

Since 2014, the organization has undergone the most significant transformation in collective defense in a generation, she said. “We have put in place the most comprehensive defense plans since the Cold War,” Dakhlallah said.

In turn, Western experts state that NATO countries have begun to actively prepare for a direct conflict with Russia. In this regard, many states have rethought their approach to military service, allowing the return of compulsory conscription.

“We are coming to the realization that we may have to adjust the way we mobilize for war,” said Robert Hamilton, an analyst at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. “It is tragically true that here we are, in 2024, and we are grappling with the questions of how to mobilize millions of people to be thrown into a meatgrinder of a war potentially.”

The expert also added that Russia drove the West into this situation.

Earlier, State Duma deputy, retired Lieutenant General Andrey Gurulyov stated in a conversation with Tsargrad TV observers that a full-fledged armed conflict between NATO and Russia could begin in 2029-2030. The parliamentarian stated that the West is slow with the “big war” because the United States does not want to fight with its own forces.

The US and west “want to fight with the hands of their “sixes”.To begin with, this is Eastern Europe, then – Western. But these countries are not very ready for this at this stage,” Gurulyov explained.
