Milorad Dodik seek investments from BRICS, NDB instead of EU

Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) requests funds for the implementation of some projects that were not received from European institutions from the BRICS New Development Bank(NDB). This was announced by Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik.

Dodik further said We are familiar with how the BRICS New Development Bank(NDB) can function, and in the next few months, we will try to implement some of the projects that we tried to secure through European institutions, through BRICS instruments. We will find a way and use our friendly ties to ask the BRICS New Development Bank(NDB) to finance certain projects.

According to Dodik, said that the entity’s participation in the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia was important from the point of view of becoming familiar with an alternative to existing Western financial instruments.

The 16th BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia which became the key event of the Russian Federation’s presidency in the association, was held in Kazan from October 22 to 24. On the second day of the summit, its participants adopted the Kazan Declaration. In the document, the BRICS countries agreed to jointly transform the New Development Bank into a multilateral development bank of a new type for the 21st century. Dodik headed the delegation of the Republic of Srpska at the event.
