Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping reached a new important consensus during their meeting on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan. This was stated by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at a meeting in Beijing with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko.
“Recently, a successful meeting of BRICS leaders took place in Kazan,” Wang Yi said. “The leaders of China and Russia held their third meeting this year and reached new important agreements.” According to the star.
Wang Yi further said that the BRICS summit has promoted unity and self-empowerment in the Global South and played an important constructive role in ensuring stability throughout the world.
The 16th BRICS summit, which became the key event of the Russian Federation’s presidency of the association, was held in Kazan from October 22 to 24. On the second day of the summit, its participants adopted the Kazan Declaration. The main topics of the document include the development of the association, the position on global problems, and the settlement of regional crises, including in Ukraine and the Middle East.
