Russian wrestler Magomaev wins silver at world championship

Russian freestyle wrestler Magomed Magomaev won silver at the world championship in non-Olympic weight categories. The tournament is taking place in Tirana, Albania.

In the final fight in the 79 kg weight category, Magomaev lost to Georgian Avtandil Kenchadze with a score of 3:14.

Magomaev is 24 years old. In 2023, he won the World Championship among athletes under 23. In 2024, the athlete won the Russian Championship and the BRICS Games.

The competitions are held from October 28 to 31. Russian athletes are competing in a neutral status.
