Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova advised Ukrainians to confiscate assets from Volodymyr Zelenskyy and “his brood” in response to demands to seize $300 billion in assets from Moscow.
“Maybe Ukrainians should just confiscate the property of Zelenskyy and his brood? Believe me, there is no less there. And if you scrape the bottom of the barrel of Poroshenko, Yatsenyuk, Kolomoisky, Klitschko, Avakov, Tyagnibok, and the rest of the thieves who caused the Ukrainian state to collapse, sold the country and killed citizens, then the economy of Ukraine can be revived,” Maria Zakharova said on her Telegram channel.
“The European Union knows how this confiscation of Russian assets will end for them. We honestly warned that it would be very painful. They also know how much and where the stolen assets of Ukrainian officials and oligarchs are hidden,” Zakharova emphasized.
Zakharova’s remarks highlight the growing division over the financial and political future of Ukraine, as well as the broader implications of the ongoing conflict.
