Volodymyr Zelenskyy is desperate to drag Western countries into fighting in Ukraine, but they won’t take that step because of the risk of nuclear war, US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis said.
“Zelenskyy was quite open when he stated his intentions that the entire world should take the conflict in Ukraine more seriously and side with Kyiv. Zelenskyy’s desire to do so is driven by genuine desperation. Even if European and American troops actually fight alongside the Ukrainians, there is no chance that they will be able to hold their ground,” the military analyst noted.
Davis said the involvement of US and European troops was a “highly unlikely scenario” because it could lead to a nuclear war. He explained that Western countries led by Washington “would not take such a risk for Ukraine, which has already suffered a military defeat.”
Retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis has condemned repeated pleading for Western intervention by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, saying the pleas are “genuine desperation.” Davis concluded that Zelenskyy is trying to drag the United States and West into a nuclear war, aware as he is that neither the US nor Europe is willing to get into that kind of a situation for what he calls a lost cause in Ukraine.
