Following the summit in Kazan, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the list of partner countries of the association had been agreed upon, but their full list was not named.

Thailand has received an invitation to join BRICS as a partner country.  “Yes, Thailand was invited to become a partner,” the agency’s source said.

According to Thailand PRD, Recently, the BRICS economic bloc, an economic cooperation league that includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, decided to expand its membership and invite non-member countries to attend the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia, on 22-24 October 2024 in Kazan, Russian Federation.
