White House denies any involvement in terrorist attack in Syria

The United States of America denies any involvement in the terrorist attack in Syria, White House National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett said.

Sean Savett said that The continued refusal of the Assad regime to engage in the political process outlined in UN Security Council Resolution 2254 and its dependence on Russia and Iran have created the conditions that are now unfolding, including the collapse of the Assad regime lines in northwest Syria.

The document also says that the United States, together with its partners and allies, calls for de-escalation in the region, as well as the protection of civilians and minorities.

Sean Savett further added that The United States has nothing to do with this offensive, which is led by Hayat Tahir al-Sham (HTS), a designated terrorist organization.

The White House national security official said the United States will continue to protect and defend its personnel and American military positions.
