Syrian authorities hold talks with militant leaders amid the fall of damascus, Says prime minister Mohammed Ghazi al-Jalali

The Syrian authorities are holding talks with militant leaders in the country amid the fall of Damascus, Syrian Prime Minister Mohammed Ghazi al-Jalali said.

Before this, the Syrian army, against the backdrop of the fall of Damascus, stated that it was continuing to carry out military operations against terrorists in the areas of the cities of Hama, Homs, and Daraa.

On the morning of December 8, Syrian rebels fighting against the government of President Bashar al-Assad announced in a televised address that they had taken control of Damascus and overthrown the regime of Bashar al-Assad.

Syrian rebels and militants launched a major offensive in the northwestern province of Idlib, which is not under government control, on the morning of November 27.

On December 6, Syrian troops left Deir ez-Zor, the capital of the eponymous region in the east of the country. The city came under the control of Kurdish forces, who had previously occupied only part of the province.

Earlier, another monument to Assad’s father was demolished in Syria.
