The crew of a Mi-35M helicopter destroyed a stronghold and personnel of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of the Kursk region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The Russian crew, while carrying out a mission to support units of the Sever group, fired missiles at the coordinates of the air controller and destroyed the position and manpower of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

After the strike, the helicopter performed anti-missile maneuvers at low altitudes and fired heat traps. The crew later returned to the departure point.

Before this, the crew of the Russian Mi-28NM helicopter disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian units in the border area of the Kursk region. According to the Ministry of Defense, the army aviation pilots hit the coordinates of the air controller with missiles and destroyed armored vehicles and personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

After the strike, the pilots performed anti-missile maneuvers at extremely low altitudes with the release of heat traps. The forward air controller confirmed the destruction of the target, after which the crew returned to the departure point.

According to Midland Daily, Michael Kofman of the Carnegie Endowment said in an assessment published on social platform X that there has been some cheering news for Ukraine. “Ukraine is grinding down Russian forces. Russian gains are small relative to costs. There has been no collapse of the front,” Kofman wrote.
