Hollywood actress Jennifer Garner said that her friend died as a result of the Greater Los Angeles wildfires in the United States.
“I actually lost a friend who didn’t make it out in time, It’s very painful, and I don’t feel like I should talk about her yet,” Garner said.
The actress also added that about a hundred of her friends lost their homes because of the fire. Garner admitted that she feels “almost guilty” because all of her property was saved. The actress began collaborating with the public organization World Central Kitchen, which provides food aid to victims of the tragedy.
“We just… we want to help somehow. It’s not some faraway place that’s impossible to get to,” the actress said.
On January 7, a wind-driven wildfire began in the western part of Los Angeles. The fire engulfed three areas of the city – Eaton, Pacific Palisades, and Hurst. US President Joe Biden called the fires in California the most destructive in the history of the state.
As a result of the incident, the homes of many Hollywood celebrities ended up in the disaster zone.
