Production companies in Philippines, intensify implementation of health protocols

The Film Development Council of the Philippines FDCP has urged production companies to re-assess and ratify their COVID-19 measures.

This is due to the increasing number of industry members infected with coronavirus due to the lack of implementation of health protocols, especially with locked-in tapings.

Chair Liza Dino had earlier said that the number of calls they received regarding film industry workers who tested positive for the infection was increasing.

According to Dino, they recently received a report in which eighteen workers tested positive for COVID-19 in just one production.

He said the FDCP has so far forwarded the complaints to the labor department for appropriate action.
