London protest: Health workers demand salary increase

Employees of the British National Health Service (NHS) gathered at a protest in London with a demand to increase salaries and improve working conditions, reports Anatolia.

Healthcare workers gathered at 10 Downing Street, where the Office of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson is located, and on that occasion carried banners with criticism of the British government.

–  Boris must leave – is just one of the banners that could be seen at the protest in London.

During the protest, they said that they are making a great effort in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and that the government should reward their commitment to better working conditions, ie by increasing salaries.

According to the Worldometers platform, a total of 3.2 million people have been infected with coronavirus in the UK, of which 84,767 have died from the infection.
