Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Chisinau refused to give security guarantees to Transdniestrian negotiators

worldwide
The head of the diplomatic department of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic said that Chisinau refused to give security guarantees to the Pridnestrovian negotiators.
Moldova has not begun to provide security guarantees to representatives of Pridnestrovie in connection with the adopted law on criminal liability for separatism. Vitaly Ignatiev told Izvestia about it.
The chief diplomat of the PMR said that he informed his Moldavian counterpart that the new law threatens almost every Pridnestrovian.

“So I demanded a security guarantee. But there is still no clarity on how we will technically conduct a dialogue, since my counterpart has refused to give guarantees and to clarify clearly and in detail how he envisages the implementation of this bill. “said the diplomat.
It should be noted that the law, which toughens the penalty for calls for separatism and the distribution of material inciting such actions, was passed on February 18. Now for this you can get up to 10 years in prison.
“So Chisinau is trying to push us out of the negotiation process or push us into some kind of retaliatory action. I can’t rule it out,” Ignatiev said.

The diplomat added that Tiraspol is ready for dialogue and negotiations in all formats and modes, but this should ensure full security for all.
“Main Regional” reported that the newly elected head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Moldova Dorin Recean commented on the situation around Pridnestrovie. The official said Russian troops would have to leave these territories and the region itself would be demilitarized. He believes that demilitarization is a fundamental thing in such a process.
