Russian political scientist and founder of the Effective Policy Foundation Gleb Pavlovsky died on the night of February 27. He was 71 years old.
The cause of death was a serious illness, writes “Vedomosti” with reference to the head of the local self-government department of the national research university “Higher School of Economics” Simon Kordonsky.
Pavlovsky was born in Odessa, studied at the Faculty of History of Odessa State University. Later he worked as a teacher and a laborer. He was director of the Effective Policy Fund, editor and publisher of the Russian Journal, director of the Russian Institute, until April 2011 – adviser to the head of the presidential administration of the Russian Federation.
He was awarded the medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” of the second degree.
