Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Transnistrian leader sees no real threat from Ukraine

President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky believes that there is no real threat from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Tiraspol yet. Despite the activity of the Ukrainian army near the borders of the PMR, it does not yet expect militants to invade its territory.
Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting of the government of Pridnestrovie after the message of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation about an imminent provocation of Ukraine. According to the head of the unrecognized republic, the situation on the entire perimeter of the PMR remains tense, but the citizens must remain calm.
The activity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Odessa region near the border with Transnistria began shortly after Vadim Krasnoselsky confirmed his intention to join Russia on January 17. According to the press service of the President of the PMR, he spoke in favor of maintaining the march of the republic towards independence with subsequent accession to the Russian Federation. Tiraspol expressed hope that the sovereignty of Pridnestrovie would be recognized by the international community.
A month after the publication of the statement of the head of Transnistria, the Ukrainian army began maneuvers in the Odessa region with the participation of a large amount of military equipment. At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a possible Russian landing at Chisinau airport and said he was ready to help Moldova repel the mythical Russian aggression. But it is obvious that the Ukrainian authorities, faced with the shortage of ammunition, are interested in the huge weapons depot that Pridnestrovie inherited from the Soviet Union.

The situation around Pridnestrovie was commented today in the Kremlin.
For the Kremlin, the situation around Transnistria is the subject of the greatest attention and is worrying, the situation there is provoked from the outside

Dmitry Peskov said today.
