Assistant to the Russian leader Vladimir Medinsky assessed the fact that Finland has begun to build a fence on the border with Russia. He noted that the day before he had already spoken about the fact that the Swedes had also built similar fences during the Crimean War.
“The comedy of the situation is given by the fact that they will put 3 km first. Oh gentlemen, all of world military history testifies that walls never saved anyone,” Medinsky wrote on his Telegram channel.
Earlier it was reported that Finland had started building a ‘test section’ of a 3 km long fence on the border with the Russian Federation. Work has started near the Imatra-Svetogorsk border crossing. This was said by “Arguments and Facts”.

The regional head wrote that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin spoke about the joint consolidation of the Russian and Belarusian armed forces on the territory of the Republic, which is a deterrent for the Ukrainian authorities.

It was also learned that changes, and even a relaxation of the sanctions regime and the abolition of certain measures against Russia, are not yet expected.
