Hungarian airline Wizz Air will suspend flights to Moldova’s capital from March 14 due to concerns over the security of the country’s airspace.
The Moldovan Civil Aviation Authority called the decision sudden and regrettable.
Wizz Air has announced that it will add flights from the Romanian city of Iasi to compensate for suspended flights to Chisinau.
Tensions between Russia and Moldova have risen in recent months over Russian missiles that targeted Ukraine but flew over Moldovan airspace.
