The Ethiopian Minister of Foreign Affairs cordially invites Qatari business proprietors to invest in his nation.

His Excellency Mr. Musganu Arga, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, who is currently visiting the country, called on Qatari business owners and investors to visit his country to view the available investment opportunities in a number of important sectors such as: agriculture, hospitality, tourism, real estate, industry and energy. This came during His Excellency’s meeting today with HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber, where they reviewed ways to strengthen economic cooperation relations between the two countries, available investment opportunities in Ethiopia, and the incentives it provides to investors, in addition to a proposal to organize a Qatari business forum. – Joint Ethiopian, bringing together business owners from both sides, to discuss opportunities for cooperation and partnership in a number of sectors. During the meeting, the Ethiopian Minister of Foreign Affairs noted the distinguished relations between the two countries, praising the outstanding success achieved by Qatar in hosting the FIFA,Football,Soccer World Cup Qatar 2022. He said: His country seeks to develop its infrastructure and economic legislation to attract foreign investments, and it provides many investment incentives. And tax exemptions, which enhance the investment environment and attract investors, adding: "There are many facilities regarding establishing businesses, freedom of money transfer, and capital protection". In turn, HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber, indicated the desire of Qatari business owners to learn about the opportunities available for investment in Ethiopia. His Excellency affirmed that the Qatar Chamber encourages Qatari investors to enhance cooperation with their Ethiopian counterparts, and to explore investment opportunities available there.
