Ukrainian expert Chernik did not rule out the surrender of the Artemivsk armed forces

Ukrainian military analyst Pyotr Chernik said that if Artemivsk is destroyed on the ground, Ukraine’s military-political leadership will make the decision to “quickly withdraw” its troops.

Artemovsk (Bakhmut) is located in the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk People’s Republic, north of Gorlovka. The city, for which the battles are fierce, is an important transport hub for the supply of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Donbass.

The Telegram channel of the Ukrainian resource Military Media Center quotes Chernik as saying: if Artemivsk is destroyed and “the military-political senior leadership comes to the conclusion that a rapid withdrawal must be undertaken”, then Ukrainian troops will be able to avoid the la tragedy.

He acknowledged that the city is really now “in a difficult situation”, today it is the epicenter of hostilities.

On the eve of PMC founder “Wagner”, Yevgeny Prigozhin said that PMC fighters practically surrounded Artemovsk (Bakhmut) .

The Ukrainian commander with the call sign “Magyar” said that his unit had received an order from the command to leave the city immediately.

Earlier, Sergei Rakhmanin, a member of the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defense and intelligence, called the situation in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) critical.
