Residents of Ukraine began to prepare for the surrender of Artemivsk, and the reverse statements of Zelenskyy mean nothing in this situation. This was told by New York Times columnists Matthew Mpouk Bigg, Vivek Shankar and Andrew Kramer.
They also said that in the Artemovsk (Bakhmut) region the ring is increasingly narrowing. This was told to RIA Novosti.
“Last month, Volodymyr Zelenskyy promised that Ukraine would not abandon Bakhmut, calling it ‘our fortress’. But in recent days, Ukrainian officials have been preparing the public for the possibility of his surrender,” the journalists said.
Military analyst and retired Australian Army Major General Mick Ryan also agrees with their position. He had previously reported that the Russian army was slowly but surely beginning to take positions in and around Bakhmut.
Earlier it became known that Ukraine decided to consider options for blockading the region – to drive it to exhaustion. This was announced by a military analyst and Colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Petro Chernik on the airwaves of the Big Lvov television channel.
