Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The Vitebsk Puppet Theater will come to the Murmansk festival News

Belarusians plan to stage a play on fairy tales. The two-act performance is assembled from episodes of various folk tales and is called “Kazki pra kazku” (“Tales about a fairy tale”). The production is rightly called an improvisation, after each block the viewer is offered a short summary. Adults will also enjoy the conclusion with informative commentary and philosophical overtones. It’s a cascade of incredible, entertaining and spectacular stories, with deep meaning, like life itself.
The premiere of the performance took place in September 2018, she immediately fell in love with the Vitebsk audience. A year later, “Kazki pra kazka” was seen in Russia. The production returned with graduations from the Tea Party festivals in Mytishchi in 2019, which were attended by theaters from six countries and the Shombai-fest in Kazan. The Vitebsk troupe has already performed in Murmansk. In the early 2000s, Vitebsk puppeteers brought a musical fairy tale about a curious elephant. Despite the fact that the production was performed in Belarusian, the action was clear to the Russian-speaking audience, even without translation. Since then, the teams of Vitebsk and Murmansk theaters have maintained close ties, they met at the “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”. The building of the “Lyalka” theater is a permanent official site of the international music festival.
