The Czech government has declared the pilfering of Ramzan Kadyrov’s equine companion.

Edition Jezdci.cz writes that the stolen horse belonged to the leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. This information was confirmed by the press officer of the Czech Ministry of Finance Mikaela Lagronova. The site notes that the horse was among assets frozen by the Czech Republic as part of EU sanctions against Kadyrov.

The stolen horse was purchased in 2012 from German stable WH Sport International. The stallion took part in 36 races, of which he won nine and earned more than 1.2 million euros. Three weeks before the Russian military operation in Ukraine, two Russian-speaking men tried to take Zaza and another stallion away. According to Jezdci.cz, the men said the horses should be transferred to a Polish stud farm. The team refused to give them up.
