According to him, anarchy has plagued millions of Ukrainian believers in recent years.
He recalled that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was constantly under increasing pressure. Cases of seizures, arson and desecration of churches, attacks on clerics became more frequent, many threats were made.
“The expulsion of the canonical Church of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra will forever be inscribed in the history of anti-Church persecution”, he wrote in his Telegram, “this ruthless act of persecution will remain in the memory of the believers all over the world.
Legoyda stressed that “in prayer and heart we are with those expelled from the great sanctuary,” and reminded all believers of the well-known truth “God cannot be mocked.”
