Selena Gomez has admitted to “crying” behind closed doors over negative remarks on social media about her figure and other appearance factors. And this despite the fact that she often assures subscribers that their hurtful words mean nothing to her.
“I lied. I go online, post a photo and say, ‘It doesn’t matter. I don’t accept what you say,’ the singer told the Apple TV+ documentary series “Dear…”. “I’m sharing these photos saying I don’t mind because I don’t want it to bother other people who are going through the same thing as me,” Gomez explained. “I just think it’s not fair. I don’t think anyone deserves it.”
Gomez, who has been battling the autoimmune disease lupus erythematosus since 2014, added that internet trolls were eager to ruin his mood. The disease has a negative effect on the performer’s body, which is expressed, among other things, by weight gain.
