President of Belarus paid official visit to Iran News

The visit of the Head of State will take place on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, recalls the presidential administration.

As SOYUZ has already reported earlier, in Tehran the Belarusian leader will meet with his colleague Ebrahim Raisi. Earlier, at a meeting on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Samarkand in September 2022, the presidents instructed foreign ministries to intensify relations and revise them.

“The main topic of the talks,” Lukashenka’s administration clarified, “will be the development of cooperation across the full spectrum of bilateral relations with an emphasis on trade and economic cooperation.”

In addition, the meeting of chairpersons will be held in a restricted and extended format with the participation of members of the delegations. The parties will discuss the implementation of projects in the fields of industry, agriculture, transport and logistics. Particular attention will be paid to the situation in the region and in the world as a whole.
In addition, Lukashenko is scheduled to meet with First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber, Islamic Council Assembly Chairman Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf and Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Earlier, Belarusian Ambassador to Iran Dmitry Koltsov in an interview BELTA stressed that the Republic of Belarus is ready to strengthen not only a full-scale political dialogue with Iran, but also to develop trade and economic ties, joint investment projects. And he called economic cooperation a key area of ​​interaction.
